History - Partus Ltd Has Its Roots in Team Academy
Partus Ltd was founded in 1991 by the inventor of Partus Methods, Mr. Johannes Partanen. The company was founded to support the establishing of Team Academy Finland.
The first phase of Partus Ltd was focused on building the methodological foundations for Team Academy Finland. This was done in collaboration with JAMK University of Applied Sciences. In the beginning Partus Ltd gave access to its customer network to the young team-entrepreneurs of Team Academy Finland. During its exsistence the company has supported the developement of Team Academy and its adult education.
In 1999 a company called Taitovire Valmennus Ltd was founded. Its main idea was to use the Partus Methods that were developed in Team Academy Finland in the field of adult education and organizational learning. Because Partus Ltd's and Taitovire Valmennus Ltd's aspirations were parallel to each other, the companies were combined to one. This action helped both companies to enlarge their possibilities of ownership and funding. The new company was named as Partus Ltd.
Present Day - We Coach Entrepreneurs and Team Coaches
Partus Ltd is a management training and consulting company. It has been established in 1999.
Our company has 11 shareholders. Ten of them are active coaches in our programs and consulting activities and one of them acts as investor and advisor. In addition our management and administrative activities are handled by three persons from our service center.
Partus Ltd’s facilities are located in Jyväskylä (Central Finland) in historical Schauman mansion.
In the year 2010 our revenue was roughly 1,0 million €. Our revenue consists mainly of sales of our coaching programs. In year 2011 there were/are roughly 500 persons in our programs.
We operate both in Finland and outside its borders in European Union countries (such as Spain, France, Germany and Netherlands) with our collaborators. One of our most important collaborator is Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences’ Team Academy. Partus Ltd owns the Team Academy brand.
Our long-term vision is to establish a private, networked university that focuses on team learning, team leadership, team entrepreneurship and team coaching in November 19th of 2037.

In our activities we promote entrepreneurship, continuous experiments, sense of community and both operating as a team and learning through it.

- Igniting Hearts/Tulisielut (program for start-up entrepreneurs, Further Vocational Qualification in Entrepreneurship)
- Blazing Torch/Tulisoihtu (program for experienced entrepreneurs, Specialist Vocational Qualification in Enterprise Management)
- Tiimimestari (program for coaches in Finland, Specialist Vocational Qualification in Management)
- Innovator's Workshop/Sammon Takojat (program for product, service and process developers, Specialist Vocational Qualification in Development)
- Myynnin ammattitutkinto (program for sales professionals, Further Vocational Qualification in Sales)
- Mestarivalmentaja (program for managers and developers in the context of Christian organizations, Specialist Vocational Qualification in Management)
- Tulevaisuuden tekijät (program for family businesses that are in the phase of generation change, Specialist Vocational Qualification in Enterprise Management)
In addition we have our own MBA –program that a participant can complete by completing two of previously mentioned programs. We also offer tailored programs and consulting services to organizations and communities in different industries in educational and business sectors.
Internationally we offer Team Mastery program for coaches.
The atmosphere in our coaching programs is interactive and relaxed. You can forget boring slideshows and classrooms. In all of our programs we use Partus Methods.
Our managing director is a shareholder and founder of the company, Mr. Mika Partanen. Our board consists of persons that are experienced professionals from different industries and sectors: Mr. Johannes Partanen (Founder of Team Academy), Mrs. Ulla Luukas (Head-Coach of Team Academy Jyväskylä) and Mrs. Minna Erkko (public sector, ventures that provide continuum education for teachers and development support for their schools).
Partus Ltd celebrated its birthday in February 12th of 2011.
