Partus Methods
Partus methods and tools have been developed for over fifteen years. They are used by team coaches who share the passion to build learning organizations and communities. Our methods have been used to develop schools, small businesses, and even large organizations.
Partus methods are team entrepreneurship methods. Team Academy in Jyväskylä has served for 15 years as the main laboratory for the methods, which are also used in several institutions of higher learning, small enterprises, adult education, and organization units in Finland and abroad, for example, in France, Spain, and the Netherlands.
Methods for Developing Team Entrepreneurship
The methods develop the expertise of individuals and organizations in three areas: team entrepreneurship, team learning, and team leadership. The core idea of Partus is to create team entrepreneurship. This means entrepreneurship that functions in community networks both within the enterprise and in its business environment. Team learning and team leadership support business activities. The role of coaching is to support growth in these areas of know-how.
Coaching
Coaching is one of the best ways to help people learn, develop their work communities, and achieve satisfying results.
Partus Ltd focuses on team coaching in Finland and in Europe. Partus methods are practices with which coaches can build and lead successful teams, whether they are “strike forces” in the private sector or learning-oriented teams in the education sector. People achieve their best potential and learn the quickest in productive teams with like-minded friends.
Users of Partus methods are experts in various fields: teachers, project leaders, private entrepreneurs, managers, and consultants. All of these people work as team coaches. Team Mastery is Partus Ltd’s basic program for developing team coaching skills.
Partus is all about attitude, values, shared ideas, and team coaching methods. Partus is the parent brand for all activities that make use of and develop our methods for team entrepreneurship, team coaching, team learning, and team leadership.
Learning Tools
Methods include different kinds of learning tools that are used to align and enhance learning. Our coaches use them in our coaching programs and participants in our programs also use them themselves in their own contexts and work environments. The idea in our programs is to learn to use these tools and apply them in suitable ways.
The composition of learning tools varies from tool to tool. They may be practices, instructions, metrics, models or combinations of them. Tools are, for example: Learning Contract (a personal plan that aligns learning efforts), Motorola –model (a framework for before-action briefings and after-action briefings), dialogue (a way of sharing ideas and experiences in team settings), Learning Log (a notebook for capturing things learnt), Literature Program (reading) and Learning Cell (way of learning together in a small group of learners). For business settings there is a tool called Learning Card that helps the team to evaluate their learning. For educational world there is Quality 47 –model for quality development and Skill Profile for personal skill evaluation in team-entrepreneurship context.
